Marisa Schottelkorb Hoyne, MD, is a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Hoyne is a Kalispell, Montana native. She did her undergraduate work at Stanford University with a degree in human biology. She completed her medical studies at the University of Arizona in Phoenix, where her graduating class chose her to receive the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award as well as the clinical faculty’s award for Best in Internal Medicine. Dr. Hoyne completed her three-year residency training in Internal Medicine at the Banner Good Samaritan and Carl T. Hayden V.A. Medical Centers in Phoenix, Arizona. She trained via Columbia Univeristy and Harvard University in Obesity Medicine, becoming Board Certfied in Obesity Medicine in 2020. She has special interest in obesity and its related diseases (diabetes, fatty liver, PCOS, sleep apnea etc,) and also has particular fondness for iron deficiency and statistics. She and her husband, Matt, have two daughters. Among her hobbies are hiking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
